Singapore in May

May in Singapore;
May was a busy month of get togethers. We wanted to see so many people and do so many things, knowing our time in Singapore was running out. We had a baby shower for our friends Rajes and Simon, who have now welcomed their baby Girl Camila into the world. Mother’s Day, had an absolutely fabulous Mother’s day, Steve was incredible! It began with breakfast, made by Madi and he, an amazing blue cheese and roasted garlic omelet. Then we all went for lunch with Shawn and Nicole and Graden. Then the boys sent Nicole and I to the spa, we had the most fabulous body massage and facial. When we returned home we had mojitos by the pool and then the boys made us a delicious pasta dinner! Yummm…not sure how he is going to top this one! The girls took me out to the Fullerton for the Chocolate Buffet….that’s right, a buffet solely dedicated to chocolate…what a fantastic night! We had another Baby shower for our friends Ted and Belinda, who will employ Josefina when we leave and are due on August the 10th. We went to the Symphony in the park with Shawn and Nicole and Graden.
Steve went away to Malaysia for 4 days on a school excursion. And I took my Kids on Open Minds to the Singapore Zoo.We had a social committee meeting in Clarke Quay, a good bye dinner for my friend Claire, who I get to see because she lives in Burlington! We saw Shakespeare in the park with the girls and say Much Ado About Nothing. Charla organized a full day of pampering to say goodbye to the girls who were leaving, so we had a luxurious day the Sentosa Spa & Resort. We had Julie’s parents for dinner, I had the grade one team good bye social, celebrated Julie’s birthday, a few times and had the CIS Year End Staff Party.

June in Singapore;

We were only in Singapore for the first two weeks of June, as school ended on the 12th of June and we flew out for vacation on the 14th. But, because it was the end of year, it was pretty busy. We had to pack up our apartment and ship everything home with the shippers. This was a big task, but we were thankful to have it done. I also had to pack up my entire classroom. So lots of packing happened in June. But there was lots of fun stuff too. June 5th is Josefina’s birthday so we went out for dinner. We said goodbye to my lead teacher Diana Smith at the Canadian High Commissioners’ house, a fun, fancy night out. We had our ‘last family supper’ at our house with Julie and Charla. I went for dinner with Christina and Claire to say Goodbye. Loads of fun things, which made it very busy and very fun!
Always performing! Too cute!

Madi decided one day to fix the door...she was able to successfully unscrew and screw back in the screw...wow!
